ok, where do i start,, radioactive started as a chat me and  a friend where having about how a station should be,, what it should sound like , yada yada,, ohh if only they were run like that (light bulb),, well why don't we just do it ....,,,???, yeah ok,, let's do it,
as a complete hobby, not a corporate thing,, set up by the dj's and how we think it should sound, we are all musicians really performers in our own right's, and yes dj's are performers, well the idea was born ,, 
a station for musicians built by it's own presenters
floated the idea past a few friends,, and here we are
